Bicycle Kicks
Bicycle Kicks | Nichole Mellison
Use bicycle kicks to strengthen hip flexors and core muscles. These require you to tighten your abs, push your lower back down into the Exercise Star, and maintain core stability. Do the best you can as you alternate extending one foot out in front of you, and then the other foot. It’s like pedaling a bicycle, except you pedal horizontally.
Support the weight of each leg while your body maintains its position on an unstable surface. Tough! Move deliberately, i.e., fairly slowly, whether you want to or not, in order to achieve the best results. Maintain your core stability, and don’t allow movement in your lower back.
As always, watch Nichole for proper technique. This is a difficult exercise after the first several repetitions, so build up slowly.
